or vegetable depending on your taste buds. But is actually a fruit and is one of the healthiest foods you can eat on

The fat in avocados comes from the omega-9 family of fats and is a heart and joint friendly fat. It is not the type

L-Tyrosine Overview Information:
one of the most important of the amino acid family. It is used in the synthesis of structural proteins. L-Tyrosine
is a powerful amino acid that helps make neurotransmitters for the brain. Neurotransmitters help neurons in the brain
communicate with one another controlling everything from mood, hunger to sleep. Some sources of tyrosine are dairy products,
meat, eggs, fish and oats. Tyrosine is an essential amino acid and helps with the building blocks of hormones in the body.
Research shows adequate iron in a person's diet helps with the production of phenylalanine hydroxylase. The amino Phenylalanine
converts into L-tyrosine. Beef, seafood, beans and green leafy vegetables are a rich source of iron.
Tyrosine is involved
in so many vital functions, however chronic stress can deplete tyrosine from the body. Tyrosine in food or supplementation
form can help prevent depletion. Some touted benefits of Tyrosine are the reduction in depression, mood disorders,
Parkinson’s disease and in some cases Alzheimer’s disease, fatigue, and stroke. Tyrosine has also shown
promise in increased memory for some individuals. It also plays a vital role in the regulation of cortisol. It
is the precursor of melanin, and can enhance the function of the pituitary and adrenal glands. This is a great amino

of time. The recommended amount can vary from 500-2000mgs. The higher the stressor, the higher the need.

L-tyrosine has several theoretical interactions where caution is warranted.
It may raise thyroid hormone production since it is a precursor for its synthesis, so those with a hyperactive thyroid should
be wary. Also, it may interact with MAOIs leading to a hypertensive crisis. Additionally, it could theoretically block the
uptake from the gut of some drugs that resemble certain amino acids such as levodopa. Finally, since it is a precursor for
stimulatory neurotransmitters, it may interact with or potentiate the effects of other drugs or supplements that are stimulatory
as well, along with drugs that affect dopamine and norepinephrine productions.
